Hemant Jain - Founder and CEO
The firm has been founded by Hemant Jain, who most recently set up and managed India offices of a business intelligence firm where he hired, trained and led a staff of 90 people. The India centre was responsible of managing proprietary business intelligence databases of top global investment banks and delivered several business intelligence reports to clients who include COOs, Business Managers and Head of Strategy at these banks. Prior to that, Hemant worked at Morgan Stanley’s securitization division in London as Associate. Hemant holds an MBA from the HEC School of Management, Paris and an engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He has also worked with Schlumberger Industries at their Paris office before his MBA and speaks French.
Alex Carre de Malberg – Non-Executive Director
Based in Paris, Alex is a Non-Executive Director and assists senior management in promoting company’s services, in particular within the financial services industry.
Alex is a Partner at Alex Partners an M&A advisory boutique based in Paris and is an Advisory Chief Investment Officer for Noor Capital in UAE. He is a seasoned investment banker with prior experience in senior positions at Commercial Bank of Qatar, Abu Dhabi Investment Company, Rothschild in the Middle East.
Alex started his merchant banking career first in 1993 at Lazard Frères (New York), then at Peregrine Capital (Hong Kong) & Equinox Capital (Singapore). Alex holds a French engineering degree, an MSChE from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA from HEC-ISA.
Tarek Walid Tawfik - Non-Executive Director
Tarek is an Investor and a Non-Executive Director at Axience. He has more than 13 years of experience in the financial services industry with expertise in wealth management, investment management and treasury. He currently heads the Private Banking division for Barclays in Saudi Arabia. Previously, he was the Head of Private Wealth Management at Deutsche Bank in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and managed a portfolio of ultra high net worth clients. Earlier, he worked as the Family Investment Manager for the Abdul Rahman Saad Al-Rashid (ARTAR) Group from 2000 to 2007, prior to which he worked in the brokerage division of the Banque Saudi Fransi.
Tarek holds a Bachelor of Arts in Financial Management, from the King Saudi University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and is fluent in Arabic, English and German.
Nitin Mehta – Non-Executive Director
Based in London, Nitin Mehta is a Non-Executive Director and Senior Client Advisor at Axience. Nitin served as Managing Director of Europe, Middle East, and Africa Operations at CFA Institute from February 2006 to December 2017.
Previously, he served as Head of International Equities at Henderson Global Investors for nine years. Prior to that, was Head of Currency and Derivatives at Quorum Capital Management and also worked for International Finance Corporation. He also served as Head of Global Equities at Shearson Lehman Global Asset Management.
He holds an MBA from the London Business School and is a graduate of the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology.
Ranveer Sharma – Non-Executive Director
UK national and Based in Mumbai, Ranveer has over 18 years of experience across investment management and consulting areas with expertise around infrastructure, manufacturing, real estate and technology sectors.
Previously, Ranveer served as Managing Director at Eredene Capital, a UK based and India focused private equity investment firm. Prior to that, he has worked with Citicorp (including Citibank and Citigroup Private Bank) and ING on development and implementation of financial services software solutions in US and India. Ranveer holds an MBA in Private Equity and Corporate Finance from London Business School.
